CAPTIVATE Arts Factor 2021 Playwriting Project

Have you ever written a script or a play?
Do you have an idea for interesting characters and/or a play scenario?
Would you like the chance to work on a script you have written, and then see it performed on stage?

The Arts Factor 2021 PLAYWRITING PROJECT is looking for young writers who have a script ready to go, (or can get their idea down on the page by the due date!).

Students can enter their completed script (following the requirements below), and the plays and playwrights with the most potential will be selected to participate in this exciting journey.

Workshop dates (venue TBC)

Tuesday 27th July - 1:00-5:00pm
Tuesday 10th August - 1:00-5:00pm
Tuesday 24th August - 1:00-5:00pm

In Term 4, the playwrights will be invited into the rehearsal room to observe, as a director leads members of the CAPTIVATE Drama After School Ensemble through the process of casting, staging and performing each play before a live audience later in the term.

The Playwriting Project is open to students in Years 9, 10 and 11.

To be considered for selection students will need to complete all questions in the Google Form, and upload their completed script by the closing date. Early submission is encouraged, as we are only accepting 8 students into the project.
